Alberta has moved the public eye off the centre corridor of Alberta. In the mean time and in anticipation of the Fording generation facility at Brooks, the line to Montana is in the works.
People along the corridor from Genessee to Langdon were not fighting power lines!
They were fighting power lines being built for export of electricity for which they receive no income from!
Likewise Calgary and the rest of Alberta will be paying for these power lines on their utility bills as you are now paying for the power lines for Sincrude and Suncore to export their power into the main grid.
Other plans for collecting revenues for the needed power lines have been put forward to the Conservatives but have been rejected out of hand.
Dig deep folks. I can't for the life of me figure out why people in Calgary support this crew!

Calgary's news is right wing to extreme and they fail to put forward a balanced picture and refuse to do any meaningful research into their subjects. To this end I will offer up details of the news of interest to Calgary and Southern Alberta.
