When the US dollar fell against the Canadian dollar it was seen by the Conservative as the means to upset what they had come to see as the status quo of the royalty regime. They did so by reducing our royality share from 25% to 19%
It is their intention to further reduce royalties as new production comes on line!
New production should have meant more revenue for the province but under the Conservative plan it simply means still more money for oil companies!
The Conservatives will in effect benchmark what they think Alberta will need with the citizens charged to the brink for goods and services.
There are no good times ahead with the Stelmach crew!
Alberta will not enjoy more royalties in the future under a Conservative Government!

Calgary's news is right wing to extreme and they fail to put forward a balanced picture and refuse to do any meaningful research into their subjects. To this end I will offer up details of the news of interest to Calgary and Southern Alberta.
